Nawab Mohammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai He is the Nawab of Pashtoons of Pakistan and Afghanistan. He became Nawab after the death of Nawab Tamoor Shah Khan Jogezai. Nawab Tamoor Shah Khan Jogezai nominated Nawab Mohammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai as the next Nawab in his life. He was seriously injured in a killing attempt in Qilla Saifullah in 1988 but he survived that attempt. On the request of Chairman of PashtunKhwa Milli Awami Party, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, he joined the party for the unity of all pashtoons. He was senator in the Upper House of the Parliament of Pakistan for the term 2003-2009. party.^[1][2][3]

He is the convener of 'Pakhtoon Ulasi Qaumi Jirga' (Pashtoon National Council).^[4] The Jirga was held in March 1998 attended by the majority of tribal elders throughout Western and Northern Pashtoonkhwa(Balochistan's Pashtoon dominated areas).

He also participated in a Peace Jirga, commissioned by President Hamid Karzai in late 2008.^[5] In Kabul,Nawab Mohammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai had a series of meetings to discuss Pakhtoon unity with Asfand Yar Wali Khan, Mahmood Khan Achakzai and President Karzai. JOgezai is a Pashtun tribe settled in Pakistan .It is A sub Tribe Of Kakar Jalalzai Sanzarkhail. The majority of the Jogezai live in the valley of Zhob in Pakistan. Their current Nawab is Nawab Mohammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai who is also prominent leader of Pashtunkhwa Party who are against the existence of Pakistan and wants to be part of Afghanistan.
